Another day of white supremacists trying to play the victim role for being punished for harassing black people just because they’re black. That’s what happened to Birmingham, Alabama Subway manager April Epperson for calling Antuan Clark a n*****. She confronted him all for simply visiting his sister on her first day of work.
Epperson’s excuse for her racism was Clark being a distraction.
“She’s in training and while she’s here she doesn’t need a distraction. I’m going to need them to get away from the property or step off the property while she’s at work.”
Once Epperson pushes clark out of Subway, she can be heard calling him a n*****. She was fired right after the incident took place. She also gave a pathetic reason for her racism by claiming that the word was a slip up.
“I said the wrong word. I’m sorry for it. I am taking my punishment and I’m walking away from it. I get that I screwed up. I’m a big girl. I can handle it. But I can’t handle being called racist on national television over a slip up.”
The only thing that came out of my mouth was, ‘N*****,’ and I’m sorry. It could have been a Mexican standing there. It popped out of my mouth that’s what that Mexican would have got called. That white person would have got called that too,” Epperson said.
Epperson continued to try to cop pleas by telling WBRC 6 in Birmingham that she has black family members. This is highly unlikely but white privilege will always try to be used to avoid being fired from a job.
