Lynn Redden said his Facebook post wasn’t racist because he meant it to be a DM and stats back him up. In fact the stats don’t back him up, when a black quarterback has started a full season more often than not they make the playoffs.
They simply haven’t gotten as many opportunities as white QBs and that is why it looks like they might not be successful. But, for example here is a list of Texans QBs before Watson showed up.
- David Carr
- Matt Schaub
- Sage Rosenfels
- Matt Leinart
- TJ Yates
- Case Keenum
- Ryan Fitzpatrick
- Ryan Mallet
- Brian Hoyer
- Brandon Weeden
- Brock Osweiler
- Tom Savage
12 white quarterbacks had an opportunity to take the Texans to the promised land and all failed. Some spectacular failed, but after the superintendent had an issue with Watson.
That is CLEAR racism.
