Alabama destroyed Tennesee 58-21 this weekend and seems like they’ll coast to another national championship game. One of their backup offensive linemen ran into some trouble this weekend though.
According to the Tuscaloosa News, Hunter Brannon was charged with DUI and hit and run early Sunday morning. Lt. Teena Richardson said that the incident occurred by an Arby’s. Brandon was seen doing donuts in a white Chevrolet Silverado and then ran into the other car. The victim was a 19-year-old woman.
According to the victim, Brannon told her not to call police and then he left. Police found him after tracking his tag number. When arrested, he did not want any medical treatment.
Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban released a statement regarding the incident surrounding Brandon.
“We are very disappointed any time a player makes a choice that leads to this kind of behavior,” said Saban. “We are still in the process of gathering all of the details on the situation, and we will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline as we move forward.”
