Chrissy Teigen has always been vocal against Donald Trump’s open bigotry and ridiculous policies. Her husband and singer John Legend has been outspoken about Trump’s actions also. Both have also recently been critical about Kanye West’s allegiance to Trump and MAGA.
Teigen recently spoke with Vogue and while she does not agree with Trump at all or West praising him, she does think he’s entitled to his opinon. She thinks his views are way off but he can also speak what’s on his mind.
“You can’t just believe you’re the right one all the time. That’s what makes us horrible,” said Teigen. “Trust me: My views are super liberal, and I’m like, How could anyone not think this way? But people are also entitled to their opinion.”
Teigan also addressed a conversation between Legend and West via text where Legend told Ye to think twice about supporting Trump. Ye posted the convo on Twitter and the two soon came to a truce. Teigan was happy that they ended that peacefully. Ye originally said in the texts that he appreciates Legend’s thoughts but he tried to manipulate his “free thought” in regards to him supporting MAGA.
“The thing with Kanye is that his opinions have always been super strong. He’s never been the guy to push them on you, but he will say what he wants to say. Same with John. That’s why I loved that they were able to have this civil discourse. Kanye learned a lot in the months after that. John did, too.”
West definitely did try to get Teigen and Legend to come to MAGA but it didn’t work. Let’s just hope it stays that way.
