The NBA previously fined JR Smith for his Supreme tattoo and now they’re cracking down on Lakers Point Guard Lonzo Ball. Ball was seen last night in LA’s game against the Warriors with his Big Baller Brand tattoo covered up.
According to TMZ Sports, the NBA contacted Ball about the tattoo and said they have a rule that states that plays can’t be “displaying any commercial logos or corporate insignia on their body or in their hair.” Ball will likely use the small piece of tape that he used at last night’s preseason game in Vegas for the duration of the regular season and playoffs if eligible.
Lonzo will have to step up this season as Rajon Rondo will also be in competition for the starting point guard job with the Lakers. We will see if Rondo’s mentorship is enough for Ball to maintain that starting position for the duration of the season.
