The highly anticipated Creed II movie starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone is out now after the success of the first movie in 2015. Recently, Jordan said that out of any all-time boxing great he thinks he can beat in real life now, he’d pick Roy Jones Jr.
Jones Jr. has issued a response to TMZ Sports and believes that he’s still got it. He agrees that he can beat Jordan in his prime and even now at 49-years-old.
“I know he can’t beat me still. I know he’s probably in better condition because he’s younger … but I’m an old school vet,” said Jones Jr.
Jones concluded by saying how soon they could make this fight happen. 4-5 weeks is an ideal timeframe for it to be finalized. Jordan has been phenomenal in showing his boxing skills in Creed but an actual professional fight is a different ball game. We’ll see if it actually goes down.
