This only proves one thing: smart people can also make very dumb mistakes too. Earlier today, scoring an easy touchdown just wasn’t enough for Harvard RB Devin Darrington. As he high stepped towards the endzone, Devin decided that he would give the Yale defender chasing behind him the middle finger.
The referees didn’t like that too much, and they promptly flag Devin for the very definition of unsportsmanlike conduct, wiping his six points off the scoreboard. Fortunately for Devin, Harvard ended up beating Yale 45-27 at Fenway Park—where the World Series Champion Red Sox also play.
