Tight end Jimmy Graham signed to the Green Bay packers this offseason and was supposed to give quarterback Aaron Rodgers another down the field weapon to help their playoff drought. He has been a shell of himself this season when you look at his touchdown totals.
Last season with the Seattle Seahawks, Graham hauled in 10 touchdowns albeit a modest stat line when it comes to yards and catches which amounted to 57 receptions with 520 yards. This season he’s on pace to to match the receptions and yardage as he now stands at 44 receptions for 526 yards but only 2 touchdowns. In his defense he also is battling a thumb injury that you can clearly see is affecting his ability to catch balls.
As per ESPN, Graham isn’t happy about his production and more importantly the losing the Packers have been going through but would love to come back to right the wrongs of this season.
“I’ve always dominated everywhere I’ve went,” he said Friday. “Obviously, I haven’t done that yet here. So it would be nice to get an opportunity to do it. Come back and maybe just be kind of more comfortable here, but I’m going to give it my all no matter what’s asked of me anywhere I go, or if I stay here.”
Graham could be a victim of roster cuts come March as his contract is not huge but the Packers could look to spend their money elsewhere especially with whoever they decide to be their head coach next season as the person would want to bring in their own players. I will be interesting to see what changes are looming in Green Bay for the 2019 season.
