Am I the only one who doesn’t keep voicemails and text messages?
I get keeping pics and what not, but who saves a text message for two years?
If Scarlett Johansson sent me her goodies via text message (subliminals) I would definitely keep the pics, but the actual text message? I couldn’t see myself doing that.
I clear my voicemails out as soon as I get them, maybe if Pilar Sanders sent me a voicemail message I would keep it to taunt Deion, but I digress.
The NFL wants to see Jenn Sterger’s phone and here is why:
A source with detailed knowledge of the NFL investigation tells TMZ when officials met with Favre on Tuesday the “send” question was the main topic — because, we’re told, the league is only looking at this as a workplace harassment issue … and not a matter of personal conduct.
But here’s the, uh… rub — league officials need Sterger’s phone to prove Favre sent the crotch shots directly to the former NY Jets stadium reporter. A source close to Sterger tells us she still has the original messages — allegedly sent by Favre — and has turned them over to her attorney Joseph Conway.
I am going to try to read between the lines and this is pure speculation on my part, so take it with a grain of salt.
If Brett Favre admitted sending the pics, the NFL wouldn’t be trying to track down Sterger’s phone, but if Favre said he didn’t send the pics or that they came from someone else then it would make sense for the NFL to try to verify.
Since Sterger has lawyered up, it makes you wonder if she is positioning herself to get the most money she can out of Favre with the threat that she will turn over the phone unless he pays her off.
The other scenario is that maybe the pics aren’t of “Lil Favre”, but if that was the case why hasn’t Brett or his wife for that matter come out and denied the allegations?
In the end like most things I think this will come down to money either via a lawsuit or a straight cash exchange.
I doubt that Miss Sterger turns over anything unless she feels that the NFL would help her with a potential lawsuit.
Lesson to be learned here, don’t send “package” pics especially if you have a lot to lose if they ever became public.
