Because of his job with the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott is accustomed to playing the role of the hero, either by inspiring the team to win or saving them from defeat. However, his work addressing mental health off the field may even be more significant now that he has assisted in saving the life of a team fan.
The 30-year-old found it difficult to deal with the terrible suicide death of his brother Jace in 2020. However, via his charitable work through his organization, Faith, he was able to assist others in resolving their problems. Strike. Finish helps people who are unable to take care of themselves.
It would have meant the world to him to learn that his wise comments and motivational sayings helped Cowboys supporter Eduardo Flores get through a trying time.
After being chosen to reveal the No. 5 pick in the NFL Draft, Flores paid a moving homage to Prescott, saying the quarterback’s efforts to promote mental health awareness had literally saved his life. He said,
“I wouldn’t be standing here without Dak Prescott,” “So, I want to take this moment to raise mental health awareness.”
Mexican Flores experienced a difficult time following the death of his father in 2016. Prescott’s devastating message gave him the courage to face his demons and strengthened his bond with the Cowboys, a team he had inherited from his father.
