Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, are breathing a heavy sigh of relief today after a New York judge threw out a lawsuit filed against them stemming from an incident last year in which the couple’s bodyguard was accused of shooting at some photographers.
For those who may not remember the alleged incident, it was said to have gone down in Costa Rica during the couple’s wedding, where two different photographers who were both from Costa Rica said that Tom and Gisele’s bodyguards threatened them, and went on to let off shots (no Plaxico). The two photographers requested more than $1 million in damages.
The judge decided that the NY court, “does not have personal jurisdiction over either of the defendants.” The judge added, “Costa Rica is a substantially more convenient forum for the parties’ disputes than New York.”
No word if the photogs plan on taking the judge’s advice and re-filing in their home country.
I don’t really have much to say when it comes to Tom Brady, as I dislike every thing about him — including his facial hair that makes him look like he shaves with a tuna can top, but I digress… I do think it would have helped Tom’s street cred if this lawsuit did continue, but that’s just me… Go Colts!!!
