Eric Williams will go do in history for his rib eating disseration on Basketball Wives dismissing his cheating ways, but this quote by Lebron James about his girlfriend and mother of his children Savannah Brinson definitely should be in the discussion of greatest put down quotes of all time.
Harper Bazaar was doing a profile on Savannah Brinson and nothing was really groundbreaking about it until they asked Lebron what did he think about his lady. Here is what he had to say:
“A person like myself always needs a great sidekick and a person you can rely on no matter the circumstances. And she’s that. She’s got my back, and I love her for that.”
Now on the flipside here is what Brinson had to say about Lebron:
“I just love him so much. We’re soul mates.”
So Lebron thinks she is a sidekick and Brinson thinks they are Soulmates.
Let me preface this next statement by saying I could be totally wrong and this is just my opinion, but if I ever called a woman a sidekick in my mind what that would mean is that I could count on her to do all the “family” stuff and not pay attention to all my creeping.
Savannah has also decided not to move permanently to South Beach instead deciding to keep the kids in school in Akron while commuting back and forth to Miami. I think that is a smart move on her part because it will be a circus in Miami and that wouldn’t be great for the kids. I am sure Lebron didn’t put up too much of a fight when she said she didn’t want to move to Miami full time, because he can now roam and party with Rick Ross in peace.
Lebron has made a lot of iffy decisions, but obvisouly keeping Brinson around has been a great one for him. She isn’t pressing him for marriage even though she says she dreams about it. She seems like a great mother and wonderful person. She isn’t an attention whore and is loyal to Lebron.
I can’t say what Lebron is up to off the court, but whatever he is doing it hasn’t been in public so in that regards he hasn’t embarrassed her in any way.
He hasn’t shown up on MediaTakeOut or anything like that.
With that being said any time you use the phrase “a person like myself” and then follow that up with “sidekick” is a bit disrespectful to the mother of your children. The proper term would have been “partner”.
Basically he called her Miss Elizabeth and he is Macho Man Randy Savage:
OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH YEAH!!!!!
The Summer of Lebron continues.
