I am about as surprised by this, as I was the season premier of The Game using every crazy black woman stereotype of the last ten years in one hour.

To be honest I am surprised he lasted this long in Turkey.  Just a few weeks ago we reported on how A.I. was saying he loved Turkey and was thinking about bringing his family over.

Allen Iverson Says He Isn’t Broke..Spending Nights at TGI Fridays

Guess he got tired of the TGI Fridays over there.

Los That Sports Blog has the details:

Per this translated report from Hoops World, “The Answer” is set to announce his retirement from basketball after recently injuring his ankle while playing in Turkey:

Turkish Besiktas famous import, Allen Iverson, appears close to end his career in basketball. The former Philadelphia Sixers’ guard injured his left ankle recently and can’t stand the pain anymore. Later today, he will do a press conference to announce that he is going to have surgery in the United States and will be treated here.

“Leaving the basketball world makes me sad but, sometimes, we have to accept things like they are. I can say goodbye to basketball,” he revealed yesterday.

Per Iverson he still has plenty of money and I hope that is the case. I don’t want to be writing an Antonie Walker style story on him in a couple of year.

Iverson reminds me a bit of Mike Tyson, even in retirement I think he will be able to generate revenue off his name. He is an Icon, for various reasons good and bad.

If this is truly the end, I hope he retires gracefully, because the other option is a path he doesn’t want to go down.

I have to admit I always figured Iverson would have a sad ending. He chooses to waste his talent. He might have ended up differently if he had some of Kobe's work ethic.

BTW The Game was a better show back when it was on the CW leave it to BET to make it more "ghetto" than what it once was.

Zune and iPod: Most men and women compare the Zune to the Contact, but following seeing how slim and surprisingly tiny and light it is, I contemplate it to be a quite distinctive hybrid that brings together traits of the two the Touch and the Nano. It really is quite colorful and beautiful OLED display is a bit smaller sized than the touch display, but the participant itself feels very a little bit more compact and lighter. It weighs about two/three as a lot, and is noticeably smaller in width and peak, while currently being just a hair thicker.
