Not a lot of family loyalty in the Talib’s household.

Aqib Talib was formally indicated on Assault with a Deadly Weapon charges stemming from an incident where someone shot at his sister’s husband (the claim was that the husband was abusing the sister).

Aqib first threw his mother under the bus (Bucs Aqib Talib: “My Mom Did All The Shooting I’m Innocent”) and now it appears that his mom has done the same to him.

Police say that Aqib Talib fired shots at Shannon Billings after Okolo Talib did the same.  Aqib Talib denied he ever shot the gun; he also is accused of pistol whipping Billings.

His mother told police “she did hear a shot and eventually admitted it could’ve been Aqib who shot,” according to an affidavit obtained by Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times.

Whatever the truth is, both mother and son are in a lot of trouble.

The only saving grace for Aqib is the NFL is in a Lockout, so he can’t be punished right now, it will be interesting to see what the Bucs do with him once football resumes.
