One good thing you can say about Tim Tebow’s inaccuracy is that it doesn’t damage expensive cars. Can’t say the same about Kyle Orton.
Broncos beat writer Lindsay Jones twitted today that a short, fast pass from Orton bounced off the grass behind the end zone and popped up, whizzing past media members and toward running back Willis McGahee’s Porsche, cracking the windshield.
@PostBroncos: Inc pass into the end zone just cracked windshield on Porshe in players parking lot. Whoops.
@PostBroncos: Right after ball hit the car, Elvis goes “Hey hey hey!!” Guessing its his ride.
@PostBroncos: Orton. Came in fast + hard. Off the bounce. RT @Jeff_Thornton: @PostBroncos Wasn’t a Tebow pass, was it?
@PostBroncos: For what its worth, only about 10 yards from back of end zone to the players’ parking lot. No fence. Not some crazy errant pass here.
@PostBroncos: Also: Not sure who the Porshe belongs to. Don’t think it is Elvis — now think he was just yelling at us media types who didn’t catch it.
@PostBroncos: Mystery solved: The Porsche belongs to Willis McGahee.
If it was Tebow that threw a ball at McGahee’s Porsche all hell would have broken loose in sports media. Meril Hoge probably would have been smiling with glee.
A picture of the busted windshield hasn’t been posted on the Internet, yet.
No worries about the Porsche though. Jones tweeted that Broncos employees took care of it.
