The working theory is if there is one faithful man active in the NBA it is Grant Hill.
Tamia isn’t your typical Basketball Wife, she had a successful singer career when Hill pursued her. Unfortunately now when people think Basketball Wives, they think of a Reality Show were almost none of the women are wives.
Tamia has an issue with that. JenniferBrix.com gives a really good breakdown of the comments, here is a snippet.
“I think that it’s definitely very misleading in terms of what our lives are about,” she told The Huffington Post.
“I think, to be fair, a lot of those women [on the show] aren’t wives,” said Tamia, who has met more than a few NBA wives since she and Grant began dating 15 years ago.
“I do have a lot of friends who are married to athletes, and a lot of these women are involved in charities, doing all kinds of things behind the scenes and are supportive wives, and—believe it or not—have supportive husbands who are really great guys.”
If people are naive enough to believe that the Basketball Wives is reality, then they aren’t very intelligent. It is scripted reality TV, that plays on the fact that people like cat fights and ratchet behavior.
I would hope women wouldn’t see the show and aspire to be foul mouth, drunk and violent women who only date athletes.
Ladies you aren’t doing that are you?
