We love bad sports tattoos around here, this morning we featured a guy with a Tebow tatoo on his shin and some mystery dude on his other leg. It was that mystery that got me to looking to see if I could find the person on the other calf.
It was then that I came across this gem. A fan commemorated Dallas Braden’s perfect game on May 9, 2010 against the Tampa Bay Rays with a tattoo of Braden in a celebratory pose. Of course, I didn’t have to look up the specifics of the perfect game because this fan also included a ticket from the game as part of the tattoo.
Now I hope to hell the guy was at the game and this is his way of remembering the event (because being at a perfect game on Mother’s Day isn’t memorable enough). Even then, this is a pretty bad tattoo. The workmanship and detail looks like it was done in prison, but I will say this, at least all the words are spelled right.
For his part, Braden probably appreciates the effort, he also has an interesting tattoo, inking one of those finger mustaches that a lot of people seem to have.
Of course, his is ultimately cooler because it pays homage to former Oakland A’s great Rollie Fingers.
