OKC had homecourt advantage, talent at every position, deep bench and two of the best players at their position in the NBA.

They blew it. The Miami Heat were more mentally ready and focused on getting that ring.

Kevin Durant knows this, so I am not surprised he cried and listen to Sade for a week.  He played well, but there were things he knows he could have done better to put his team in a position to win.

“I wanted to win as bad as anything in the world. I cried about it every day,” said Durant, who added that the mourning lasted about a week, a little less than the time it took to physically recover from the NBA grind.

Nothing in sports is given. There are no guarantees that you will ever get multiple chances to win a title, you have to take the opportunity when it arises.

OKC let one slip through their fingers, we will see if they get another.

Can’t confirm or deny this is the reason Durant cut all his hair off.
