Lebron James Says They Would Beat Dream Team

by Quierra Luck | Posted on Friday, July 27th, 2012

This conversation will never be dead. Why can’t we all just agree the Dream Team is better, once we can all get on that accord, the world will be a better place.

Lebron James has been reported to have been agreeing with Kobe Bryant, that Team USA 2012 would beat the Dream Team.

“As a competitor you never want to say that you will lose, no matter who you are going against,” James told ABC News “Nightline” anchor Cynthia McFadden. The ’92 Dream Team paved the way for all of us … We understand what they did for our game, but we also are big-time competitors as well, so if we got the opportunity to play them in a game we feel like we would win, too,” James said.

Im going to need for someone to set up some holograms of the Dream Team 1992 and Team USA 2012 and let them go at it. Shut this debate down. (If somebody does this I need credit)

Now that LeBron has taken his talents to Miami and finally won something he felt he “long deserved” he’s got the nerve to call himself a competitor? Fuck outta here, where was that competitive spirit his last year in Cleveland when he so obviously stopped playing every game in the last series? How about his competitive spirit prior to this season when he consistently choked and cringed under ANY kind of pressure? He’s a fag and a joke, and I hate the direction the NBA is going. The original Dream Team would have annihilated these clowns just off of basic skill, which none of these idiots choose to perfect or work on during off-season. LeBron’s only weapon is his athleticism, he doesn’t even have the intelligence to develop some type of post-game to help him when BULLDOZING in the lane stops working. Nevertheless, people are much dumber these days, so I expect this manner of behavior to just continue until something causes it to change.

Well, the biggest difference between the 1992 Dream Team and the 2012 team is the difference in the front court and the officiating. Barkley, Malone, Ewing, Robinson were all defensive bruisers and scorers. Not to mention that Magic could play and defend in the front court too. You go to the hole and you get hammered. Now, the current team has not one bruiser and only one scoring big, Kevin Love. Okay you can count Lebron as a big too. Moving on, FIBA rules may have changed with regard to officiating. This may provide a big problem for the Dream Team because charges and flagrant fouls were uncommon in 1992. And, honestly, the officials themselves were in star struck when they saw the Dream Team as were the other teams. With that being said, the DREAM TEAM would pummel the 2012 team. They had more than enough bigs to foul clog up the middle and score. Stockton would out play Paul. Pippen would stop Westbrook, Hardin, Durant, and Melo. Kobe and Lebron are the only two on the current team that would likely still have the same level of scoring and play against the Dream Team.
