Alabama Recruit Deon “D.J.” Johnson Arrested for Rape and Sodomy

Caught a TD pass on Monday, arrested on Thursday.

We don’t know any of the details of what happened, so remember innocent until proven guilty.

Deon “D.J.” Johnson, a star athlete at Spanish Fort High who committed to Alabama in April, was arrested Thursday on charges of second-degree rape and sodomy.

Johnson, 18, was booked at the Baldwin County Corrections Center at 8:43 p.m. on Thursday. According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s website, he has been released on $20,000 bond.

Johnson, a four-star prospect, caught a 60-yard touchdown pass and racked up 110 yards of offense in Spanish Fort’s nationally televised win against Daphne on Monday.
