The Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets officially opened its doors to the public yesterday. And who better to christen the state-of-the-art arena better than Brooklyn’s very own–Jay-Z. In addition to basketball and concerts, the Barclays center will also feature year long boxing, wrestling and figure skating there’s even talks of the NY Islanders moving there in 2015.
Jay-z, minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets kicked off the 1st of 8 more concerts he’ll have there. Jay-z entertained a crowd of over 18,000 in which he performed some of his greatest hits and sported a Brooklyn Nets jersey in the process. The after party took place at the 40/40 club (also part owned by Jay-Z) and featured a bevy of celebrity guests in attendance.
