Ravens: 23
Browns: 16
The 2-1 Ravens looked to extend their lead in the AFC north as they squares off against the Brandon Weeden led Cleveland Browns.
The Browns have always been known to play the Ravens tough and tonight was no exception. The game came down to a Hail Mary which Weeden (as he tend to do) overthrew. The Ravens have now won 9 straight times against the Browns.
The Browns’ punt returner Josh Cribbs suffered a big helmet to helmet injury that had him down for a minute or so, he then left the game for good. The first points of the close game came in the 2nd quarter after Flacco stepped up his game and connected with Torrey Smith in the end zone. After an almost comical miffed extra point kick, the Ravens led 6-0.
Trent Richardson ran in for touchdown at the end of the 2nd quarter to pull the Browns within 2 points. Joe Flacco ran in for a touchdown of his own in the first drive after half time to take the Ravens to 16 points vs the Browns’ 7. Weeden tried to keep his team close but through a pick 6 to Kerry Williams.
The Browns were a tough out as they pulled within 7 points but were not able to get the job done. The Ravens move to 3-1 with a commanding lead in the AFC North.
