Calvin Ford, the Baltimore staple that served as inspiration for the character ‘Cutty’ in acclaimed HBO series The Wire, is the subject of a new mini-documentary for Uninterrupted.
After spending 10 years in prison for racketeering on the streets of Baltimore, Calvin Ford decided to help change the lives of kids in the city becoming a boxing coach – and the real-life inspiration behind Cutty’s character on “The Wire.” Now, he is coaching “Truck” as he works toward his quest for Olympic gold and to show the world what Baltimore is made of.
Giving viewers a birdseye view of Ford, and his prized student amateur boxer Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson, viewers are treated to an intimate look at the duo as they continue to work their way to prominence.
