Cardi B claims that by attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals, President Trump ruined the mood of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks.
The “WAP” artist, who was present as halftime entertainment, said that Trump gave MSG a “dark” vibe.
Cardi talked about her experience while chowing down on a SpongeBob SquarePants popsicle. She likened Trump’s attendance to a principal attending a party, when everyone felt obliged to behave themselves.
The Knicks’ first NBA Finals game at MSG since 1999 was ruined when they fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 115-111, due to the ominous cloud.
Cardi expressed optimism that the Knicks would bounce back for Game 4, saying she was proud of the team’s effort and didn’t appear all that affected by the setback.
As you are aware, Trump’s attendance at the game was a logistical headache that resulted in hours-long security lines. This probably contributed to the President being loudly jeered by the sold-out audience when he appeared on the jumbotron during “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
There’s no indication on whether Trump will return for Game 4 on Wednesday, but Cardi asserts that the president cannot be prevented from attending a game.
