Alaric Jackson, a left lineman for the Los Angeles Rams, was taken into custody on a felony domestic abuse accusation on Monday night.

“A person who willfully inflicts corporal injury” to a spouse was the charge, according to the police.

“Jackson believed the woman was recording him with her phone and allegedly tried to take the phone out of her hand,” according to NBC4’s initial report on the arrest on Tuesday.” “Investigators said the woman had scratch marks on her arms,” according to NBC4.

According to jail records, Jackson was arrested on Tuesday at 4:24 a.m. local time and released at 7:20 on $50,000 bond.

A lady filed a lawsuit against Jackson in November, claiming that he recorded her during intercourse without her permission, continually refused to remove the footage, and made fun of her with it. The woman reported the event to the NFL, according to the lawsuit.

“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously,” the Rams said in a statement. “Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”

After the NFL declared that Jackson had broken the league’s personal conduct policy, Jackson was suspended for two games in August 2024.

Jackson and the Rams reached a three-year, $57 million contract extension in February 2024.
