Many people and media members were upset when Josh Brent appeared on the Cowboys sidelines during their game against the Steelers.

While I do think it was a distraction and awkward, I wasn’t up in arms about it because it is what Jerry Brown’s mother wanted.

She asked the Cowboys not to distance themselves from Brent and I respect her wishes. It is for the best though in the future Brent keeps a low profile and the Cowboys seem to agree, so he will not be allowed back on the sidelines.

One thing to remember, you can not compare Brent to Jovan Belcher. While Brent did an incredibly stupid thing driving while drunk, he didn’t shot someone at point blank range 15 times. They both made bad decisions, but Belcher’s decision was much worse, so don’t lump them together.
