Last season when the Broncos decided to trade Tim Tebow, many people felt once the Jacksonville Jaguars got into the mix that it was almost a certainty that Tebow would pick his hometown team.
Tebow of course didn’t, and the rest is of course New York circus history. Pro Football Talk via ESPN senior reporter Chris Mortensen is reporting via his sources that Tebow to Jacksonville “is a virtual certainty” in the off-season.
Mortensen reported that Jaguars owner Shad Khan still wants Tebow in Jacksonville, and because nobody in the NFL wants Tim, he most certainly will be able to get him.
It definitely makes sense from the business point of view with jersey and ticket sells. It should definitely ratchet up interest in the team until they at least start to lose.
From a quarterback and playing perspective, it should have been Tebow’s destination from the get go. The fact that Tebow chose New York speaks about the attention he craves.
If Tim Tebow can’t beat out or compete with Blaine Gabbert, then his time as a quarterback in the NFL will officially be a rap.
