The New York Giants are trying to upgrade their receiving corps, signed free agent wide receiver Louis Murphy to a one year deal according to the New York Daily News.
Murphy, 25, caught 25 passes for 336 yards and a touchdown last season in Carolina.
Murphy, who played his first three NFL seasons with the Raiders, will likely battle third-year pro Jerrel Jernigan for playing time.
The Giants are set for now at the receiver spots with Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Reuben Randle. He played extensively as a slot receiver in Carolina last year.
