Report: Dodgers Zack Grienke to Have Elbow Examined
I’m trying to imagine what would upset Magic Johnson more, the Los Angeles Lakers missing the playoffs or his newly signed, extremely expensive pitcher going down with an elbow injury before Opening Day.
According to a report on ESPN, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke was scratched from his latest Spring Training start because of elbow irritation.
Greinke, who signed a six-year, $147 million contract in December, threw a bullpen session Friday, but reported the irritation after playing catch on Sunday. He was scheduled to meet with Dr. Neal ElAttrache and to return to the Dodgers’ spring training facility in Arizona later Monday afternoon.
The Dodgers said the exam was precautionary.
Elbow injuries are never a good sign for pitchers no matter how minor they are, hopefully it isn’t serious. Pray for Magic you guys.Powered by Sidelines
