The world of social media can be the devil at times. I say that because it must be seriously frustrating for a god fearing, bible quoting offensive tackle to get drawn into serious controversy four days before the biggest night of his life.
This is exactly the dilemma former Alabama offensive tackle D.J. Fluker is going through as he prepares for the 2013 NFL Draft.
Early Tuesday morning Fluker’s Twitter account sent out this Tweet, basically bragging and acknowledging that he accepted improper benefits while at Alabama.
Yes you read it correctly. That Tweet has now been removed from Fluker’s account, but the damage has been done. Fluker’s agent immediately went into damage control and stated that his clients Twitter account was hacked.
To all followers of @djfluker76 his account has been hacked. We will re-activate his account soon. Thank you for your support.

According to many that know Fluker, the young tackle is supposed to be a high character and highly religious young man.
Does that absolve him of any guilt for the Tweet? Only time will tell. What we do know is that people, especially athletes and celebrities claim to get hacked all the time, so he’ll definitely have that working against him.
Will it affect his draft status, only a few days will tell. We can definitely look forward to the NCAA doing a bit of investigation into his claims fake or not.
