As we reported a few days ago, The Baltimore Post alleged in a column that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did not want Ed Reed back.
Now according to Kevin Byrne, senior vice president, public & community relations for the Ravens, the Ravens and John Harbaugh did want Ed Reed back, and Byrne wanted to make that perfectly clear in a story recently posted on the team website.
“I really got pissed this week,” Byrne wrote. “Fact is the sentence in no way reflected John’s feelings about the futureHall of Famer Reed.”
So basically Harbaugh didn’t want Reed back, but not because of any alleged mutiny’s or hard feelings. The Ravens didn’t want to pay Reed $5 million a year for the next three seasons.
