New York Knicks and Madison Square Garden owner James Dolan has been known to be a quirky and cranky at times, but if this latest story is true, he might need to start doing yoga or something.
The New York Post is reporting that Delta Sky 360 security guard Fiordaliza Hernandez may have caught Dolan on the wrong night, and paid for it.
The 57-year-old Dolan reportedly was walking into the exclusive club during Sunday’s Knick game against the Boston Celtics when Hernandez asked him for his ID sources said.
Dolan of course never wears one, and Instead of laughing it off, Dolan snapped on Hernandez and asked her, “Do you know who I am?”
Hernandez was honest and admitted she didn’t know. Dolan then asked, “How long have you worked here?” Three years, she answered.
“I’m your boss! I pay your salary!” Dolan screamed at her. Hernandez still on her job, refused to let him in without an ID sources say.
Dolan at that point allegedly lost his mind, and yelled: “Give me your ID! You’re fired!”
She was immediately sent home. Dolan reportedly continued to rant. “I have to get new security in this building! I have idiots working here!”
Dolan after having sometime to cool off, and possibly consulting with attorney and public relations staff, hired her back immediately.
How could Dolan really fire someone for taking her job serious, when she would have been fired had she not asked for ID or done her job.
MSG spokeswoman Kim Kerns said, “As a company policy, we do not comment on employee matters.”
