When Ray Lewis retired from the Baltimore Ravens, many people speculated that the two-time Super Bowl champion was a shell of his old self.
However Lewis is showcasing he still has it, while taking on a new mission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
In one month Lewis will be traveling to Tanzania in an effort to raise money and awareness for clean water in East Africa.
“I am so FIRED UP for this adventure, but until then, I need your help to bring clean water wells to thousands of children and families,” Lewis said on a LockerDome online posting.
Fans who want to help out for a cause are encouraged to spread the world via Twitter and donate $10 to TackleKili. In addition to your donation going to an incredible cause, fans will also have their name entered into a drawing to win a Ray Lewis autograph helmet.
With one month looming ahead before Lewis climbs the tallest mountain in Africa, let us hope and pray he isn’t afraid of heights.
I hate to be the messenger with bad news, but people die from attempting this yearly.
No mountain formed against you shall prosper Rev Rey.
