According to a story via CBS Miami, one person was shot near the ballpark of the Miami Marlins in Littler Havana on Wednesday night.

Miami Police said the shooting happened during a drug investigation that was going on near a crosswalk being used by people going to the Marlins game against the Milwaukee Brewers, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald.

The Herald reported police ordered a suspect out of a car and then there was some sort of confrontation and police opened fire when the suspects made a sudden move.”

The suspect is said to have been taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition. Marlins can’t buy any good press right now.
