Can’t make this stuff up.

Derek Jeter once again suffered a setback since returning to the Yankees, this time it’s his calf giving him problems.

The Yankees were forced to make a decision with Alex Rodriguez coming back to make his debut. If the Yankees waited a few days for Jeter to nurse himself back to health they’d be forced to cut an infielder to make room for Arod, so they’ve now decided to place Jeter on the disabled list–it’s his 3rd trip there this season.

Eduardo Nunez and Jayson Nix will share duties at shortstop for the next few weeks. And yes, Arod is all to blame.

Irony, or typical Arod striking again?
