For weeks we’ve been speculating on how much time Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes will miss at the beginning of the season.
According to the New York Post, Holmes has told friends and those close to him that “he expects to miss at least the first four games of the season.”
The Jets may now decide to leave Holmes on the PUP list, which would shut him down for at least six weeks.
Without Holmes, the Jets will trot out Stephen Hill, Braylon Edwards, Clyde Gates, Jeremy Kerley, and a bunch of no names for Geno Smith or Mark Sanchez to throw to.
