Terrelle Pryor Says He Owes Al Davis, Wants To Repay Him
Terrelle Pryor may have finally arrived.
Yes Pryor still struggles to read defenses, and makes most of his plays with his legs, but Pryor is a long way from the guy he was when he was banished by Ohio State, and selected in the supplemental draft.
Pryor has come a long way and has Al Davis to thank. According to Peter King and TheMMQB, Pryor says “he owes Davis, and wants to repay him everyday.”
“I owe Mr. Davis,’’ Pryor told King. “This man believed I’d be a star quarterback. He said that to me multiple times. He took a chance on me when other teams wouldn’t. And I think he was smiling down a little bit today, watching this. This may sound crazy, but every day I’m thankful for what he did for me.”
Pryor gets another shot to start, and possibly his first win as a starting quarterback, when the Raiders host the Jaguars this Sunday.
“I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he was awful, but he also understands that there’s some critical mistakes in the game that we got to get corrected because we can’t have those,” Allen said Monday, via Steve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group.
