Philadelphia sports fans must be losing their touch. Their reputation for voicing their frustrations via booing and insults is stuff legends are made of.
Cleveland Cavaliers big man Andrew Bynum made his return to Philly last night for the first time since his acrimonious departure following last season, and as expected the fans let him know what they thought of his disappointing and short tenure with the Sixers and his silly hairstyles.
But Bynum said he wasn’t impressed.
“I thought it was a little weak,” Bynum said told reporters after the game. “Honestly, I thought it was going to be much worse.”
Here’s footage of the Sixers fans booing him upon his entry into the game:
I don’t know, I thought that was some pretty loud booing. Don’t know what Bynum was expecting, he only played there (well not exactly) for one season.
