Kevin Durant has been playing with an edge lately and his teammates are starting to notice. Kendrick Perkins and other Oklahoma City Thunder players have noticed an increased edge in Durant.
Durant had words with Dwight Howard and Francisco Garcia during last nights blowout win over the Rockets and barked at teammates whenever he felt the need to.
Perkins told the Oklahoman, he likes the mean Kevin Durant.
“He feel like he got to come and set the tone, and he doing that,” Kendrick Perkins said. “I’m liking the mean KD; giving stare downs when he’s dunking on people. I’m rolling with that.”
Durant dominated the Houston Rockets from start to finish. Hescored 33 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, both game highs, and dished out five assists as well.
The meaness Perkins was referring to can be seen in this nasty dunk over James Harden. Durant howled after dunking on his good friend, and the game was over from there.
Durant though tried to downplay his new found aggressive nature. I think Durant sees the window can close just as fast as it opens for a club.
Kevin Durant is tired of being second, so now he’s simply tired of being nice.
