A National Championship can’t compete with coaching in the SEC.

Florida State defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is expected to be hired for the same position at Georgia according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The 39 year old Pruitt met with Mark Richt on Tuesday, and is expected to be named to the job.  Todd Grantham resigned Sunday as the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator to accept the same position at Louisville.

Pruitt, who is an excellent recruiter as well, was named Florida State’s defensive coordinator in December 2012 after serving the previous three seasons (2010-12) as Alabama’s defensive backfield coach.
