After a little over a year of marriage, NFL tight end Darren Waller and Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum are divorcing. A joint divorce petition was submitted to the Clark County District Court on Tuesday, according to online records.
Plum posted a statement on social media that seemed to confirm their breakup. She wrote,
“I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go,”

Darren on the other hand chose not to respond. This might come somewhat of a surprise to some but it is eventually his choice.
Last year in March, the two had gotten married. The statement said,
“One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day,” “Thank you for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and to move forward.”
Waller was a five-year player for the Raiders, including their first three seasons in Las Vegas. In 2020, he was selected to the Pro Bowl. Before this he was traded to the New York Giants.
In the 2017 WNBA Draft, Plum was selected first overall by the San Antonio Stars, who would eventually trade to the Aces. She has been a WNBA All-Star for the past two seasons, and as a member of the American 3×3 women’s basketball team, she has won two titles with Las Vegas and an Olympic gold medal.
