Patrick Mahomes‘ father will be permitted to attend some of his NFL star son’s games this season while still being on probation in his criminal case.
In documents submitted to the court, Patrick Sr. requested authorization to go to games in Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Cincinnati.
Patrick Sr. stated that he understood he would need to undergo urine tests as his probation officer requested, both on the dates before and after each instance of travel.
The father of the quarterback mentioned in the documents that he finished 160 hours of community service and an outpatient treatment program.
The court was informed by his probation officer that Patrick Sr. had no problems with his SCRAM alcohol monitor device or with drug and alcohol testing.
The judge authorized Patrick Sr. to attend most of the Chiefs’ games … but did not approve the game in Las Vegas in October or the game in Cincinnati in December. It seems that Pat’s dad will only be able to attend home games.
In 2024, Patrick Sr. was detained for felony DWI in Texas. His sentence included serving probation, undergoing drug tests, and fulfilling community service obligations. After Patrick’s 2025 campaign ended with a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee, he is having a strong start to the season.
