According to ESPN, former CY Young award winner Johan Sanatana will get an opportunity to see if there’s anything left in the tank after signing a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles.

Santana would get a one-year, $3 million contract if added to the 40-man roster and would have the chance to earn bonuses based on days on the active 25-man roster and starts.

Santana can earn a total of $5.05 million in incentives, a source told ESPN.com’s Jerry Crasnick.

Santana went to Twitter to express his excitement after signing the deal.

This is one of those low risk, high reward kind of deals for the Orioles. If Santana can channel whatever he has left into a productive season, that will go a long way in helping Baltimore in the AL East dogfight.
