It appears that Russian politicians aren’t happy with the United States meddling in their affairs so according to World Soccer, they’ve decided to attempt the impossible and get them tossed from perhaps the most popular sporting event in the world.

Deputies from the Russian State Duma, from the United Russia and Fair Russia parties, have asked for FIFA to revoke the membership of the USA.

Aleksandr Sidyakin and Mikhail Markelov have written an official letter to world football’s governing body, asking for the USA men’s football team to be omitted from the 2014 World Cup and for their membership of the organisation to be terminated forthwith.

The letter cites the USA’s aggressive actions against Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya as well as their attempts to encroach on Syria, as the reasoning for asking for the US to be banned.

“It’s an eye for an eye, a ball for a ball. Don’t let the USA take part in the 2014 World Cup! End their membership of FIFA”, Sidyakin wrote on his twitter page.

The Russians must be desperate if they’re willing to attempt something that has like zero chance of happening. Should try to use your time more wisely boys.
