Chip Kelly has been seemingly been on a quiet hunt to land some more toys this offseason.
Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com reports that the team inquired about the availability of Bills running back C.J. Spiller before completing the trade for Darren Sproles.
The Eagles contacted the Bills this offseason with hopes of trading for versatile Pro Bowl running back C.J. Spiller, according to two league sources familiar with the situation. The Bills weren’t interested in moving Spiller, both sources said, and talks never heightened into an offer.
The Bills of course have big plans for Spiller and had no intentions of letting him loose. In four years with Buffalo Spiller has rushed for 3021 yards, and 12 touchdowns on 590 carries.
