Brooklyn Nets GM Billy King is admitting what we all know, this present Nets team was constructed with one goal in mind. Beat the Miami Heat.
On Monday King did interviews with Boomer and Carton on WFAN and Colin Cowherd on ESPN. He discussed his team’s playoff chances and admitted that this Nets team was constructed to challenge and dethrone the Miami Heat in the East.
Asked by Cowherd do teams build their rosters to beat the Heat, King responded, “Yeah, you try to build a team to challenge the champions.”
Specifically asked if the Nets did that, King admitted, “Yes, I would say we did.”
Their sweep of the Heat in the regular season was no fluke. The Nets were built around the idea of beating the Heat, and Paul Pierce has a long history of getting the better of LeBron James.
This series will be epic.
