The infamous murder trial of O.J. Simpson is once again making headlines as a signed dance recital program from the day his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman were brutally murdered goes up for auction. This disturbing piece of memorabilia reminds us of the tragic events that unfolded on that fateful day and the controversial trial that captivated the nation.
The murder of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman shook the country to its core, as the affluent Brentwood community was thrust into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. O.J. Simpson, a former football star turned actor, was accused of the murders, and a highly publicized trial followed.

Reports say the signed dance recital program has surpassed bidding at more than $1K.
Simpson infamously attended his daughter Sydney’s dance recital just hours before Brown and Goldman were killed outside her Brentwood home back in 1994, leading to a historic trial in which the former NFL player was found not guilty after being arrested and charged with the murders.
Both OJ and Nicole were at the ‘Dance for Kids’ recital at a junior high school in LA, where he was asked by a fellow audience member to sign a yellow, 8.5″ x 11″ dance recital program with a blue ballpoint pen.
Almost 20 years on from the day in question, that program is now up for auction with sports memorabilia company Lelands, where bidding has already surpassed the $1,000 mark.
At the time of writing, a total of 10 bids has left the high mark at $1,181 after a starting bid of $500 – with the auction set to close on May 19.
Simpson, who died at the age of 76 last month following a battle with prostate cancer, led police on an astonishing hours-long car chase through the streets of LA five days after the double-murder of Brown and her friend Goldman.
After eventually being arrested and charged, he was controversially acquitted in the conclusion to the ‘Trial of the Century’ on October 3, 1995.
However, less than two years later the ex-Buffalo Bills star was found liable for the double-murder in civil court and ordered to pay more than $33million as a result.
In the wake of his death on April 10, Simpson’s Bank of America credit card was also recently auctioned off for upwards of $10,000.
The ‘business account’ card belonging to the NFL Hall of Famer is red, with pictures showing it actually expired in January of last year.
The card’s seller, Jonathan Lepore said he plans on donating 10 percent of the proceeds to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, he told TMZ.
Lepore told the website that he was initially going to gift the card to his friend’s dad, who used to hang out with OJ and Nicole during the 80’s and 90’s.
