Report: Steve Kerr Seeking $6 Million A Season From Knicks

Steve Kerr is reportedly interested in becoming one of the highest paid coaches in the NBA.  The New York Post is reporting that Kerr is seeking a five-year, $30 million deal from the Knicks.

Kerr’s agent is Mike Tannenbaum, the former Jets general manager. It is believed Tannenbaum is seeking a five-year deal for Kerr, the same length as Jackson’s.

It is also believed Kerr is seeking a similar financial deal as Mike D’Antoni had when he inked a four-year, $24 million pact with the Knicks in 2008. Jackson and owner James Dolan might have to overpay to get Kerr to move across the country.

Kerr could potentially get as much as Mike D’Antoni did when he signed with the Knicks in 2008 and was coming off of one of the most successful runs with Phoenix.

  1. This guy has never coach a day in his life and was a average/role NBA player. I’m 1000% sure if he was black he wouldn’t be able to find a assistant job in the NBA. Smh

  2. They may make him one of the highest paid coaches. While Patrick Ewing struggles to get an interview for a head coaching position.
