There were plenty of great moments on WWE’s Monday Night Raw last night, including one of the biggest swerves the industry has seen in years.
But the show wasn’t all shocking moments. Damien Sandow provided us with one of the funnier moments of the night, channeling his inner Lance Stephenson to address the Raw crowd, which happened to be in the Pacers home arena.
“Stephenson” went on to bash the home team, reminding fans that the Pacer season is over. Sandow really got the crowd going with this gem:
“I would like to publicly state, that Lebron James is the greatest player in history. Number two, the Indiana Pacers are a losing team from a losing city.”
And all of this was with real-life Pacer Chris Copeland in attendance. Copeland sat ringside and had a look of disgust on his face for the entire segment. Yikes.
This isn’t the firs time WWE has used the NBA Playoffs on screen. After Raw had to be moved from the Pepsi Center to Staples Center due to scheduling conflict with a Nuggets playoff game, WWE set up a Lakers v. Nuggets tag match.
