Kobe Bryant is making no bones about who he would like to see as the next Lakers coach, and there are reports that former Lakers fan favorite, Byron Scott, was always the organization’s top candidate for the coaching position. Scott was part of the Showtime Lakers and won championships while playing for them.

In the past, Kobe always got what Kobe wanted, but with the organization realizing that the end of the Kobe era is near, the Lakers want to be certain that Scott will fit with the future of the team. Scott does have an impressive coaching resume, so it’s likely that the Lakers will eventually offer him the position.
